Manav Abrol is the portfolio manager of the equity strategy. He set up Platts Lane in 2021.

Manav Abrol grew up India and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Business Economics from University of Delhi, India. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from London Business School. He spent the initial decade of his career in Institutional Equities Sales & Trading with roles in Hong Kong and London at HG Asia, Nomura Securities and Cazenove & Co. He then moved to Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in London as an Equity analyst in the private client team focussing on Global / US Equities. He joined Citi Private Bank in Geneva in 2004, as an Investment Counsellor, and provided cross asset class advise to UHNW families and their Family Offices in EMEA. In 2010, he moved to Singapore to head up the Investment Advisory & Sales unit for South Asia and transitioned to a senior client coverage role.
